HERITAGE VALLEY -The Indian School
Residential And Co-educational school from class III to X.

After nurturing Sherwood for more than two decades, Mr Gurwara and his team of teachers from Sherwood decided to start another school, Heritage Valley -The Indian School in a natural surrounding where every child would be free to explore his / her talent in the lap of Nature.

The campus located about 50 kms from Hyderabad on Hyderabad - Bangalore Highway in a calm, serene environment amidst lush green fields, small hillocks and valleys, was selected and was very appropriately christened "Heritage Valley” to provide holistic education with Occidental Science and Oriental philosophy.

SHERWOOD AKSHAR     (A unique Pre-Primary Curriculum)

Earlier the pre-school education was limited to the children of working couples in western countries. The educationists experienced that early childhood education given informally in a supervision-free environment in the company of peer group plays vital role in preparing the children to get formal education from class I onwards. The need of the children of Pre-Primary is entirely different from that of the students of class I to XII where the child is expected to go through a formal curriculum and tests and examinations. To fulfill these objectives Sherwood Akshar (Pre-Primary School) was established by the founders of Sherwood.

SHERWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOL

The humble beginning took place in 18, Wahab Nagar, Sikh Village, Secunderabad in a 2 bedroom rented house on the 21st of June 1984. The school flourished under the ‘child centered’ educational philosophy of its founders. In order to provide more open space to conduct a number of activities for the all round development of children the school shifted to its own premises spread in 3 and 1/2 acres about 10 km from Secunderabad Railway Station and Hyderabad Airport.
